Alexandra Mounsey About me
Experienced PR Consultant
Alexandra Mounsey BA(Hons) DipM MCIPR
During my fourteen-year career I have planned and delivered effective communications on behalf of complex and high-profile organisations.
I’ve managed PR and public affairs across the North of England for McDonald’s, won the hearts and minds of prospective students as Assistant Head of Marketing at Lancaster University and led communications on sometimes sensitive issues in public sector organisations such as the NHS and Cumbria County Council.
I have developed expertise in identifying and communicating the messages that win the trust of stakeholders.
My strengths lie in getting to the heart of an issue and then devising clear and effective messages to reach the people that matter. My experience covers communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, media relations, content strategy, events management and copywriting.
I have led proactive and crisis PR at McDonald’s across the north, as well as supporting their franchisees to develop better community relations and engage political stakeholders.
My campaigns have won awards, too, including ‘Best Community Engagement Campaign’ and ‘Most Creative Marketing Campaign’ at the Local Government Awards and Lancashire Business Awards respectively.
I have a first class degree in English Literature from Lancaster University and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
